Rear Shackle Mount Section (ART-041-R)

Description 1967-86 CJ-5 & 7   A common issue with CJ models is frame rust at the leaf spring shackle mount area. A rubber body mount above the rear frame section retains moisture, allowing it to seep into the frame rail slowly. Sand and mud get trapped inside the hollow rails, resulting in complete rust-through. These rusted-out areas create extremely unsafe condition and often lead to state safety inspection failures. optimal results, you will need to purchase new shackle mount bushings. This Safe-T-Cap saves time and money with this smart fix for rotted frames. Installation is very similar to our ART-42.
